At Calathea Inn Unawatuna, we understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our guests and our property.
Reservation Cancellation
- Guests may cancel their reservation free of charge up to 7 days before the check-in date.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of check-in may be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to one night’s stay.
- No-shows or same-day cancellations may be charged the full booking amount.
Refund Policy
- Eligible refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days depending on the payment method and financial institution.
- Any transaction or bank charges applied during the refund process are the responsibility of the guest.
Modification of Reservations
- Reservation dates may be modified subject to room availability and seasonal pricing differences.
- Additional charges may apply for upgraded rooms or extended stays.
Early Departure
- Guests who check out earlier than the confirmed departure date may be charged for the remaining reserved nights.
Peak Season & Special Events
- During peak seasons, public holidays, or special events, separate cancellation terms may apply.
- Non-refundable deposits may be required for certain promotional or discounted bookings.
Force Majeure
Calathea Inn Unawatuna is not responsible for cancellations or delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, travel restrictions, government actions, or emergencies.
